I have just bought a Whirlpool side by side fridge second hand. It appeared to work for the first day but after about 12 hours it has tripped the RCD switch in the house. When I tried to turn it on again it would continually trip.
Over the past week I have discovered that if I leave it off for about a day it will run again for another half day before tripping again and having the same problem
