Removal of 2 internal load bearing brick walls. Replaced with two connected steel beams, one of which is 4m long. A steel colum is required at 2m on this beam.
I have a full structural engineer's report which outlines the precise details. An extract of that is below to assist. I can send the full report on request.

Opening : Removal of wall between kitchen and dining room
The existing wall running between the existing kitchen and dining room is proposed to be removed. This is an internal wall supporting wall, floor and roof loads above.
Steel beam required as specified below:
Steel beam SB2: 250PFC
Minimum end bearing: 350 mm
Maximum clear span: 2300 mm
Cleated into SB1
This work will not affect the structural integrity of the building
Non-shrink structural grout to be used
Steel beam to be suitably primed to prevent corrosion.
Beam/upper wall loads to be supported at all times during construction.
All work to be carried out under manufacturer’s recommendations, the
Building Code of Australia 2012 and the Steel Structures Code (AS4100).
Typical Lintel Beam Installation Procedure:
1. Install props on both sides of the wall to be removed at 600 centres, a maximum of 600 from the face of the wall, using spreaders as necessary and make secure.
2. Saw cut the brickwork vertically in the required locations and demolish the brickwork down to the required levels. Remove excess brickwork from the site.
3. Install supporting steelwork as per drawing, ensuring that all grouting and anchoring is completed as per details. Leave for 48 hours.
4. Dry-pack grout full length between each beam and the slab above. After 48 hours the props can be removed and the brickwork patched where necessary.
5. Carry out the 90min fire rating of the beams in accordance with the BCA (20mm gypsum- vermiculite plaster on metal lath on three sides of the beams or pairs of beams).
6. It is mandatory that only one section be removed and replaced with its support beam and finalized before commencing the other section and support beam.
It is recommended that the installation of such beams be carried out by a builder familiar with this general procedure.
