- upgrading existing kitchen (new cabinetry, new appliances, new floor & wall tiles, possibility of changing from a central kitchen to open-plan by removing non-structural walls)
- removal of carpet throughout and either (a) replace with alternate flooring or (b) polish hidden parquetry flooring if in good condition
