Structural advice on removing a hollow plywood pillar from living room

Jai requested 3 quotes from Renovators in Macquarie Park

I would like to have some advice on removing a plywood pillar in the living room. The pillar is about 2 meters x 6 inches and appears to be hollow. The gyprock ceiling in the room is 6m x 4m and the pillar appears to built for cosmetic reasons than to support the ceiling. There is just the roof over the ceiling and nothing else.
