Can other things be installed during rewiring? Yes! How long does a rewiring take? Rewiring isn't a quick job. A medium house can take 5-10 days to be rewired, and that isn't taking into account any extra electrical tasks that you might be hoping to have done at the same time, such as installing additional powerpoints or light fittings..
Can I live in my home while it's being rewired? Normally the answer is yes. Most electricians will do their best to ensure you have access to electricity in the evenings while you're at home. However in special circumstances things may be different - the best advice is to talk to your electrician and see what they say.
