Safely remove potbelly stove flue from the ceiling space. Cover the hole in the pitched corrugated iron roof with a ducted whirlybird venting to the ceiling. Hole in the ceiling is approximately 240mm.
Job does not include removal nor disposal of the pot belly stove below the ceiling. The pot belly is not fixed to the floor and may be moved for access to the flue.
Ceiling sheet material through which the flue passes, may contain asbestos?
House is a queensland cottage on stumps. Access to the ceiling space is available. However flue is close to eave so not much headroom will be available. Photos of the flue from the street and inside, if required can be emailed.
Please supply details of how any hazards (to both the tradesman and occupants) will be managed, with the quote documentation. Prepared to pay for a quality, safe job, so lowest quote will not necessarily be accepted.
