Our house has a tile roof, the deck that was added on has a tin roof. The Roof sheets were never turned up at the end, however flashings have been put in place. When the rain comes in at different angles it goes under the flashings & leeks into the ceilings as the roof sheets are still flat. It is a 2 Storey house, however the access is via the deck, so it's only like a single storey job.
