I have an AEI security system installed showing an error in the circuit.

There is power going to the alarm system and the system can be turned on; however whenever it is turned on a red light appears saying there is an abnormality within the circuit. From what I can see, there is only one sensor (located in the lounge room) and the external box outside the unit. I need somebody to come in a have a look at it to see where the problem lies. As long as it is not too costly (less than $500) I am happy to go ahead with the job; however initially I just need someone to have a look and see what needs to be fixed etc.
