Hi, I just purchased a house with a historical artefact for an alarm called a 'Ness 5000' (i think they left BC off the end for the year of manufacture). Connected to mains. I'm not a 100% on... I'm not a 100% on exactly how many motion sensors there are etc, but i think there are only 2, already wired up. Could you please quote me on upgrading to a decent system (with and without installation), the external setup definitely needs replacing as its rusted through, i'd imagine all the pieces should be replaced, but the wiring might/should be okay to reduce installation cost. I'd also like to ensure i can get a reduction in my home + contents insurance so must have: - Intruder detection device on or near main entry points - minimum 3 intruder detection devices including at least 2 motion sensors, at least one internal siren = external strobe light siren - connection to mains and seperate battery so it works when power fails Which i'm pretty sure i have with the antique. The house is about to be wired up for VOIP, so integration with this or SMS/Calls to our mobiles would be a nice addition. Please give me some options, and let me know any other info required. Also a ballpark figure if estimation is tricky with installation etc. Best regards, Tom
