I require a builder who specialises in staircases (not just a carpenter please - staircase specialists only), to replace a spiral staircase in a 70's style double storey townhouse with a glass balustrated staircase with hardwood timber treads. i have a picutre of the type of staircase i am after... will be ready to hire in the next few weeks once some other trades are out of the way.

Eric Jones hands down do quality work, the staircase they built for us looks fantastic and is commented on by almost everyone walking into our house for the first time. They are not cheap but i guess that goes with the territory of quality workmanship and complex custom built products like staircases. the only downside was it took an inordinate amount of time to get the job completed and I had to do A LOT of chasing up on the phone both with their sales rep and their services manager. It was quite frustrating and took something like 4 months all up to get in and finished by the time their subcontracted steelworks and glass guys finished their components. I would use them again as I am happy with the end result but would lock in guaranteed completion dates from them.
