Static noise in phone line after ADSL2+ installed

Since we connect with tpg adsl2+ service, there's an irritating constant static noise in the phone line. The problem is only apparent when the modem is turned on. Have changed modem, and used filters, without resolution of the problem. . Suspect a problem with the wiring inside the house. Maybe a central house filter will resolbve the problem?
