i’m looking for a qualified and trustworthy tradesperson willing to visit my home and provide a written quote for this job. you really cannot quote for this work without first inspecting the site.
the tiled veranda at the front and side of my house is affected by subsidence. tiles have recently come loose and some areas look as if they are being pushed up by tree/shrub roots. in fact, a slab of bluestone underneath a verandah post is cracking.
what i’d like done is:
1. a written assessment of the problem (written because if the tree roots belong to a plane tree, the local council will need proof of this fact in writing)
2. the existing tiles removed and taken away
3. steps taken to remedy and prevent further subsidence , and
4. new (tessellated) tiles re-laid.
