Cat door fitted into glass window

I have a window that i'd like a cat door installed into. I'm not certain but i believe its a standard 3-5mm non-safety glass window.
The window is fairly large and so i would rather not have to replace the whole sheet of glass.
I will provide an appropriate cat door.
