They are poly pipes. Access to the pipes is easy. I have done some work at clearing the blockage but this is too slow a process for me, and using a small auger was inadequate from one end and too short from the other. For someone with the tools its an easy job.. I am home today. I have indicated urgent - but what I mean is asap. If not today then I would need to co-ordinate time off work.

The studs in between still exist but have been cut near the ceiling and are supported by a piece of timber. The studs at one end need to be removed and two new ones installed about 1m from the wall. Between these the wall need to be replaced to about waste height (to create a wall with an opening in the middle). In both cases we only require the carpentry. You don't plaster or clad.
