We have gas ducted hearting. the pilot light has gone out and we need to get it on again. we have tried to re-light it but the knob you have to turn (to "pilot") appears to have seized in the "on" position. you can't light the pilot unless the knob is in the "pilot" position and the knob is depressed ( you can only depress it when its is in the pilot position). when we removed the cover fromt the knob, we found that we could depress it in even though it was in the "on" position and the pilot light could then be lit, but when we released the knob after 30 seconds, the pilot went out straight away.
