We are now seeking information about hyrdronic heating as a safer alternative. Depending on cost, we may also replace our broken split system wall unit in the living area for cooling in summer. We will definitely be installing heating within the next 4-6 weeks. The type we decide to install will depend on advice we receive and considering costs.

When set to pilot mode and the red button depressed the pilot will light but will not stay on. ( Goes out when red button is released) Pilot flame is big and blue but the spread looks a bit strange. The electric igniter is working fine. One time the pilot did stay lit and the burners then came on, but then the pilot blew out sometime before the unit turned on for the next cycle. ( cold air).
